Default !!ALL SOLD!! Nazi vintage CONTRACT Astras and others 4 SALE

First up is a 9mmK (.380) Astra 300 serial number 539244 with matching serial numbered magazine (last three digits of serial number 244) and correct holster. The pistol is all matching serial numbers frame, slide and barrel. This pistol DOES NOT have a waffenamt which is correct but identifiable by serial number as part of the first contract delivery from October 18, 1941. See AXIS PISTOLS page number 114. Has ONLY Spanish Proofs which is correct as the Germans had a high confidence level and respect for the proof houses of Spain and thus DID NOT re proof as was the case or practice with many non German made pistols of the era. The pistol is in very excellent condition with very little blue missing call it 96%. This pistol has the early FULL checkered wood grips. The wood grip panels are in very good condition with some minor denting and some very minor scrapes—SEE PICTURES below. The mechanics of the pistol are excellent and the barrel bore is in excellent condition. The magazine is correct with the Astra E/U Logo on the tip of the magazine floor plate. Overall a very nice condition highly collectible first Nazi Contract Astra 300. $735.00 SOLD to Tim H. (THANKS)

Next is an Astra model 400 in 9mm (Largo) Bergman-Bayard serial number 93333 and includes two correct magazines and a nice period holster in excellent condition NON marked. ALL matching serial numbers frame, slide and barrel. This one is NOT waffenamt marked (correct) but again identifiable by serial number as part of the first Nazi Contract October 18, 1941 (serial numbers 92851-97350)—again see AXIS PSITOLS page number 114. This pistol has most of the blue but has some frosting on the right side slide mainly--SEE attached PICTURES. The wood grips are in excellent and very sound condition with no cuts, scrapes, dents, cracks or any warping. The mechanics are excellent and the barrel bore is in excellent condition with NO frosting. $495.00 SOLD to Tim H. (THANKS)

Final Astra is a 600 serial number 4846 in 9mm Parabellum with two correct magazines and a black holster. This pistol does have a waffenamt E/WaAD20 on the right rear frame. This Astra 600 was part of the Nazi Contract (serial number 1 to 10,500) and part of a 5,000 pistol order delivered to the German Army on 6-23-1944. Again, only Spanish Proofs which is correct. The overall condition of the pistol is around 95 or 96 percent blue. It is ALL matching frame, slide and barrel. The wood grips are in excellent condition just showing normal use but NO scrapes, dings, dents or warping present. The black holster is in very good condition showing normal use condition and marked inside the flap bdn 44 and with a faint waffenamt E/WaA86. The mechanics are excellent and the barrel bore in excellent condition with some very minor frosting. The magazines are original standard issue with the Astra E/U Logo on tip of magazine floor plate. One magazine has three digits 628 just above the Astra Logo on the magazine floor plate. $695.00 SOLD to Val (THANKS)

Next pistol up for sale is a Beretta M1923 (9mm Glisenti) serial number 304420 (ALL matching) manufactured for the Italian Army pre WWII and then subsequently captured by the British . It has British proof marks on the right frame and top of barrel visible through the classic Beretta open slide design exposing a large part of the barrel. It has the Royal Army Crown R/E stamping on the left frame tang. This one IS NOT slotted for the holster stock (SEE “Axis Pistols” page no. 271). It is the first Beretta pistol to have the exposed hammer. The pistol overall has most of the blue remaining say around 95% with some high edge wear but both grip strap surfaces retain most if not all their blue. The sheet metal vertical grooved PB banner grips are in excellent condition with some very minor dings and dents but fit well and secure. The magazine is also correct and in very excellent condition. The mechanics of this pistol seem to be in excellent working condition and the barrel bore is in excellent condition with some minor frosting between the lands. Although the pictures don’t show it most of the fire or razor blue remain on the left side frame safety lever. Total production (around 10,000) of this model 1923 lasted until late 1925 or early 1926 and only about 3,000 were ever Crown R/E marked for the Italian Army. This is a very interesting and somewhat rare Model 1923 pistol that should be in any serious vintage Beretta collection. $465.00 SOLD to Vince (THANKS)

Final pistol up for sale is a Mauser New Model 1910/14 as so designated by Roy Pender in his book “Mauser Pocket Pistols1910-1946”. This pistol is in 6.35 (.25) caliber. It is in fact listed by serial number 73411 in this just mentioned book page number 60. Also present on the left slide is the Heavy one line Mauser address. It is in overall very good condition with most blue remaining except some thinning on the left side, sideplate. The plastic grips are damaged and missing a piece on the left side upper left corner above safety lever exposing the inside part of the safety lever arm. The trigger, safety lever arm, and takedown lever all have much of their fire or razor blue remaining. The pistol also has British proofs on the barrel hood or exterior chamber visible through the ejection port and “Not English Make” on the rear of right frame. It also has the original German proofs C/U on the front of right side slide. The magazine floor plate is of the slotted square variety with NO banner and in good condition. The pistol seems to be in excellent mechanical condition with correct magazine and the barrel bore is very used and has corrosion and some pitting present. $195.00 SOLD to Richie S. (THANKS)
