Just a note to those who knew him, I just heard that Bob Cutler lost his final fight against cancer over the New Year's holidays. Bob had one of the best collection of original Luft shotguns and drillings that I have ever found and he contributed much information, pictures and articles to any publication or book on these subjects. I for one, found him to be gracious and always willing to help any newbie increase their own information and he indeed will be missed...a super guy in all respects

He was indeed a true gentleman and a straight shooter...
I spoke with him about 6 months ago when he was still doing fairly well.
As always, he was eager to share the wealth of knowledge that he had accumulated over the years.
Sad news and a big loss to the collecting community.
My condolences to the family.

I recently learned that Bob Cutler passed away over the holidays. This gentleman had one of the best, if not the best, collection of Luftwaffe shotguns and Drillings in the world. I have known Bob for at least 25-30 years and considered him to be a very good unselfish friend. He will be missed by a lot of us. Jim Cate
