    Default Italian Beretta M318/418

Some confusion as to what model this is officially designated, however, Beretta was nice enough, after some persuasion, to verify for me this pistol was sold to the German Army HQ in Rome in 1943.
I have a copy of the fax, they sent me.
This was posted on the Italian board, but nobody seemed to notice.
Its not marked anyway, but with the Italian markings.

    Andy,
Nice gun you presented here. I just acquired one of 1941 production which is shown here too.
The 318 differs from the 418 only by the firing pin which protrudes with the 418 in the cocked state. There are no other difference visible to me.
    Regards
    Dietrich
