    Ron, It's a conundrum..This style of rod was not unknown during the Weimar period. Very similar to a Polish pre war VIS on the slotted end.

    Anything is possible. Still a hands on inspection could explain some things. The wooden barrel and brass stop could well be fake too..even though they might look OK. Kenny Kontos AKA REVSHOP the notorious faker must have made a gazillion Police rods. He offers one with every holster he tries to sell.

    Well...I guess I will be buttering my toast with it in a week of so.

    Figured a small bid would be worth the "look-see".

    Sorry, guys...

    Did not realize that I had not posted up photos once this tool came home.

    The wood is a little crude and the grooves on one side are not as deep as the others on the other side of the barrel.

    It was not a big $$ buy on eBay...$ 34.00 including shipping.
