Hi All, I got this holster with a Dreyse which it's obviously not for.
Is it a Makarov holster or what do you all think it's for? Nice soft suede leather with no markings. Looks like a typical European style military holster to me. Any help cetainly appreciated! Thanks Nap |

Hi Nap,
Here is a post which includes a pic of the holster that came with my Makarov. Which, if I recall correctly, is a 1961 East German Makarov. Although I can not say if yours is for a Makarov or not, I am hoping that this may be of some kind of use. Huggie is the acknowledged holster expert and I will defer to him. ![]() James http://www.gunboards.com/luger/showthread.php?t=20172 |

Interesting ... the EG Makarov holsters did not have a cleaning rod loop like the Russian holsters.
http://www.p38guns.com/SovietMakarov.htm However I think JJ is right about the holster being post war for a CZ27 .. if you want to let it go shoot me an email Mark@p38guns.com Mark |
