    The side plate is unnumbered and therefore not original to the gun. The S-link and safety tab appear to be blued but should be in the white. I think the gun has been refinished.

    I have come across a 1917 DWM Luger with "original" matching magazine. The frame is blued. I thought they were supposed to be left unblued. Should I be suspicious?
