Default Need your opinions on this Luftwaffe marked holster

I just got this in today. I like it, but my concern is the eagle/2 marking. It measures 4mm wingtip to wingtip. It looks a tad small and I don't know what kind of stamps are out there. Does it look legit to you?

No this holster is totally incorrect for it's type and cannot be right. First off Eagle 2 marked holsters have no markings on the back as this one does. There are maker marked Eagle 2's but they are marked on the inside left panel. The one you show is an Army issue with a WaA.
Luft Eagle 2 holsters are generally made with black thread and have no other markings other than the interior panel on rare ones.
IMO this is simply an Army holster with a spurious Eagle 2 marking applied.

Well, it is still a nice army holster, so I will keep it for one of my Mauser Lugers...Bill

I wonder who would have added the E/2? Also I wonder where they got the stamp and what else they put it on...Bill

Bill, A multitude of stamps can be seen on eBay any day of the week. Some guys in Poland make EVERYTHING you can imagine. This stamp likely came from there. What else? God only knows.

Who did it? Some moron. If you use a totally unmarked commercial holster you might have a chance to get away with such tomfoolery but on an Army holster? Nope. Army ain't Luftwaffe.

This is supposed to be a genuine Luft-Bird if you'd like to compare.

I have always considered markings of any sort to be secondary indicators. There are many things that have to make sense before a marking is to be considered good or bad. In Bill's case..no matter how good the marking is..it HAS to be bad because the rest of the holster MAKES it bad. If this same Eagle 2 were found on a correct for the marking holster..we might all find it to be correct even though it might not be exactly as it should be. So two things have to come together..what the holster itself should be matching up with it's markings.
