Enclosed are pics of an early (high ears) S9805 with Werft zu Danzig unit marks with matching scabbard which is a tough find. Also included is a pic of the bayonet on a Gew98 always good to do a fit check on any new bayonet that comes into my collection. If their is any damage where the bayonet attaches it will reveal itself.
As someone who mainly collects gew 98s, this bayonet is a fantastic find! KM marked rifle items are so tough that most of us, in reality will never own them. Really great unit mark to find. The most interesting part about this I find is the fact that it's a 1912 dated bayonet, the majority of known items are 1906 or earlier on the rifle side.
This rifle is not mine but I wanted to post if for reference. A Warft zu Danzig marked rifle with like marked lid. The rifle is a DWM 1906.
Your Naval Gew 98 looks like it was a Naval procurement from the start great find, thanks for sharing. My last Naval Gew 98 was first issued to the Army and later pressed into service with the Navy.
Unfortunately, this one isn't mine I wish it was though.
