    Default Stocks ?

Every WW II era Luger that I've ever seen has had a stock lug. Were stocks ever issued, or even manufactured during this time period?

    Paul,

In the small library of Luger books, I have, is the book "The Mauser Parabellum 1930 to 1946" by Hallock and van de Kant. On page 98 it talks about the dimples in the stock lug. It says, in essence, Although the 1934 Mauser was designed and assembled with a stock lug, it was never intended or used to mount a stock.

Stocks were only made for small foreign contracts like the Siam and Persian Artillery during the Mauser years. Some stocks were also made during French occupation when the last batch of artilleries were made.

Like rifle stocks, similar to the carbine version.
