    Default Back surgery

I had my 5th back surgery day before yesterday. The doctor fused L4 and L5 after taking some bone marrow and a small piece of bone from my hip. I am hoping this will be the last one. I wonder how many Lugers I could have bought for what the surgeries cost...Bill

Wow Bill! It seems like it takes a lot of spare parts and extensive restoration to keep us old models running. Looking forward to you putting a lot more miles on your chassis.

    Hi Bill,
I had two surgeries a couple of weeks apart on my upper spine/neck, one through the front the other through the back. I asked the surgeon how much this was all going to cost, he told me that the whole deal would run about 400k, all covered by Medicare! I had to wear a neck brace 24/7 for 6 months and I imagine you are going to have to wear something for your back. I'm pain free now and I'm sure you'll have a good outcome too. Getting old is no fun.
