For some reason the frame serial number has been removed. It never left the factory like that. Can't really tell but the mag looks forced matched? I am not a unit mark person but my guess is 2 infantry regiment 17 company weapon #30. Bill

Serial number has been scrubbed and so have the receiver proofs on the right side. It's also been refinished.

It's a shooter grade Luger and if it functions properly then shoot it and have fun.

The unit mark is from the Reichswehr (Weimar post-WW1 army): Second division, 17th Bavarian Reiter-Regiment (cavalry), weapon 30.

The original frame serial number assuredly would have been 7222l. In addition to the serial number, the right receiver inspection marks and proof have been removed.

Guys , Thanks so much for the info on the gun any idea what the value may be? Hope I didn't pay to much. Also seems to function properly. Any reason why serial# and proofs would have been removed?

As a shooter, somewhere in the range of $700-800, maybe another $100 with the accessories?

The Reichswehr unit marking indicates 2nd Squadreon, Reiter Regiment 17, weapon 30. It was a cavalry regiment.

I think the holster worths more, something in the $250 range - maybe a little bit more.
Does the loading tool have any proof?
