Jan... Been a good couple of weeks for finding Police Banners.

5755x 1941 (small date) E/L E/N. Wood grips with E/655 and no numbers. Sear safety. Barrel has SN plus 8,82 and also is stamped S/42 on bottom and SE63 at the 11:00 position. Matching #1 mag which has 1 over 5755 over x. Rolled Blue Tin body.

7814y 1942 E/L E/N with sear safety. Wood grips with no numbers or acceptance stamps. Barrel has 8,83 but no SN. Has both original matching mags which are FXO.

About a year ago I also acquired the 1939 E/F C/U 328w that you show on pages 153 and 154 of TRL. Wood grips with big 28. Barrel has SN but no size. Sideplate is stamped E/6. In addition to the two original matching mags it picked up a #3 numbered mag which is NP rolled with a starburst K acceptance. (R/H gun on my avatar)

    Jan,
Dave suggested I add my Eagle L small date 41 to this sticky. The gun consists of the following:

1941 (small date) 7705x, E/L, E/N, sear safety, matching grips E/655 and a letter M; barrel gauge 8.83, no SN; non-matching Haenel Schmeisser trademark mag. Small "p" with a punchmark beside it on base of stock lug.

The thread link to the pictures is here for your reference:

    Default 1942 Banner Police 7078y

Here is all the data that I just wrote down today after discussing same with Ed.

    Pistol 1942 Mauser Banner Police S/N 7078y
    Sear Safety present
E/L on right side of receiver and bolt.
Barrel has ONLY bore dia.8.83 and a small Police Eagle stamped on the forward side of the front sight base (upside down too)
Aluminum plug fxo/P.08 E/37 mags with blued concave pin.Mag "2" in pistol with a never numbered spare(fxo/P.08 E/37mag with blued concave pin in holster pouch.
Holster is a CARAMEL brown 1940 dated Kern Klager & Cie Berlin with National Police E/B and 223 on holster and un-marked Police issue tool.

Overall condition of the whole rig is 95 pct plus and as I related to Ed was one of TWO police P.08's on issue to a German Police Coy marching EAST out of Denmark on 9 May 1945.The 1942 Banner described here was on issue to the Company Commander while a DWM with NO chamber date was on issue to the Company Sgt Major(or CSM in CDN military parlance).I'll describe all 5 pistols for Ed in another thread.I saw this one first so I figured that I'd add the data to your list.

    Cheers,

    John R.

    Jan,
1940 Police Banner #4748x with sear safety. Eagle L. Matching magazine #1-4748x. Grips unnumbered with E/655. Barrel 8.82 no SN. Barrel has Su stamp with hard to read number 18 or 78? Data shows that gun #s 4569x and 4995x also have Su barrel marks.
