Default 1941 byf Factory Code Police Luger

Hello Jan, I talked to you on the phone about this gun yesterday. I believe this is where you asked me to post the data even though it isn't a "Mauser Banner" police luger.

    1. byf factory code, Serial# 2050 p
    2. Chamber date is '41
    3. There are no police acceptance marks on the gun, but there is an police E/C acceptance mark on the numbers matching magazine
    4. There are no commercial proofs on the gun. There are E/655 Waffenampts
    5. The grips are numbered and matched. They also have Mauser factory Waffenampts
    6. The gun has a sear safety
    7. Military acceptance marks are on the right side of the gun
    8. Haenel Schmeissermagazine, Numbered 2050, also numbered 3 and marked with an E/C acceptance stamp

Additional information: Gun came with a brown 1938 holster. The holster is police marked.

Travis... Welcome to the Forum. Very interesting pistol..... Started out as a military and got "acquired" by the Police along the way. Police holster and mag adds to the story. I see you are from Ohio.... I'm up near Cleveland.

You have an very nice condition Police 41 byf luger. In "THIRD REICH LUGERS" Still estimates that there were 200 procured by the Police in the o and p suffix range. According to "THE MAUSER PARABELLUM" there were approximately 700 41 byf pistols ordered by the Police in the o, p, and t suffix range. Your "2050p" suffix falls within the 1500p-2300p serial range identified by the authors. Thank you for sharing the photos.

I just got 99% 1941 Mauser Banner, Eagle L, SN 8477x, Luger with fxo magazine (black plastic bottom marked p08 eagle 37, magazine looks like new) Does anyone know if this magazine could have come with the pistol or is it some kind of replacement?

I may have posted this years ago, but don't think I did.
