    Hi there...!
    Gathered a new one.

    It`s a Police Banner Vopo-rework (GDR, reblued) from 1940 with the number # 5095x
Acceptance: Eagle L and the GDR-Stamp U (Untersuchung) from the 70er...
    Schiwy-safety rebuilt (see fotos).
Scratched GDR police stars, but I can recognize a weak 28...

    Best regards from Germany,

    Tom

    Jan,

Just acquired: 1939 Mauser Banner Police Eagle/K Luger; details are:
Serial #: 7631v; all matching to include one numbered magazine.
    Chamber Date: 1939.
    Police Acceptance Stamp: E/K.
Proofs: C/U next to serial # on receiver, on breechbolt, and on front sight base.
Grips: I've not removed them, but examined them with a bore scope. They appear to be numbered along with some additional markings.
    Sear Safety is present.
Magazine: Crimped, blued, aluminum bottom marked 1/7631/v/+.
Barrel marked with serial number but no bore gauge.

    Hello,
I have 3428w, 1939 E/L, C/U. grips not numbered. Cut for sear safety, but was either removed or not installed. There is no wear pattern so I assume never installed. Barrel marked 8.82 with C/U on front sight ramp. Both original H.S. side frame magazines marked with 3428, "1" and "2". Both also marked with E/L on body side and on bottom. No "w" suffix. Pistol was acquired in early 90's with a natural tanned military style Carl Ackva 1939 dated holster WaA286. No police markings or serial number.

Mr. Still, The weapon I have has a Mauser banner on middle toggle, 1941 small font on chamber, left receiver e/M or N, 6179, right receiver e/swaz L, front of frame 6179i(this is puzzler), under barrel 3/4in from its base and across the axis of barrel is 6179, below that is 88( in font larger than the sn), below that is e/2 and below that is another sn 74?2. This sn is obscured with a "F" laying across the axis of the barrel. there is another eagle on right side of barrel( costanzo vol I pg.114 #174). There is no sear safety. Magazine: type 4 police. serialed to weapon with #2 under sn on Bottom of aluminum base. Magazine: has P.08 on left side bottom(rear) and on left bottom front fxo and below that e/37. Grips are serial to weapon. I am a computer illiterate so will probably screw up your whole website if I try to attach pics. I can send from my iPhone to another phone if you are interested. I'm interested in knowing what I have. Thanks for any help you or the members can provide. Sambo

Dave, I have 10 pics on my Mac. can't seem to figure out from "attachments and images instructions how to drag them to your reply box(this box). Like I said, I may crash your site and Mr. Still will come down from Alaska with a mad on. I hope the 2 pics I tried to load to your site are not tying up someones post or thread. sambo
