Very impressive collection of Banner Police P-O8's. I see both the large and small date 1941's.

Abzug.....any chance you have data on when our friend "Eagle/D" was in business stamping magazines? Maybe even where he was doing that?

Chuck, a very good question. The order to change from a droop wing eagle to the straight wing eagle came in early 1937. The "se/D" inspector appears to have been assigned to depot replacement and support equipment (opinion). I will defer to the researchers and authors- Mr. Still, Mr. Maus, Mr. Tinker and Mr. Gruber to expand.

Pictured are three examples of chamber date sizes (small 3.3mm, Large 3.8mm) found on Mauser 1941 Police Eagle L- P.08 pistols. The first two have "x" suffixes, the last is a "y" suffix.

    Default Eagle C variations, 1939 1940

The Mauser Police P.08 pistols marked with the "Eagle C" inspection stamp appear on some 1939 and 1940 dated examples. Pictured are two 1939 subvariations, one using a receiver marked with the Eagle/6, and a 1940 example.
