Just purchased an all matching (other than grips) 1940/42 Kriegsmarine with matching magazine, serial number 5639g. Marked N4890 on back strap and N4890X on bottom of magazine. Extruded magazine with aluminum bottom is marked 122 eagle 37. 655 / 655/ eagle/N proofs of right side of receiver. Unnumbered walnut grips each have 655 proofs. The right grip is stamped with a M and the left grip is stamped with a D.

    Hope this info helps.

Bill... There were no 1940 S/42 pistols. Could the toggle be just 42 ??

    Hi Dave,

I got carried away. It happens to people my age. There is no S, just 42.

    Sorry for the confusion.

Bill.... Good... Sounds like a neat pistol. Very hard to find with matching mag. Post some pictures. FWIW I have 40/42 9250e with N-4730. I also have problems with all this new technology. Sometimes it does not do well at reading my mind.

Any help with 41 42 with serial 3746 looks like Q. E655 No markings on wood grips, and aluminum fxo. Is this a correct configuration? Thank you in advance.

Frame SN 5807z marked P.O.8. Unfortunately, someone decided to tear it apart and sell the pieces separately I got my hands on the frame and then captured several of the other parts that were being hocked individually on Ebay by the same guy. I mated it with the top from a 1908 Bulgarian that I saved a while back so I have a shooter made up of one of the very first PO8's and one of the very last. Good times. 017 (2).jpg018.jpg

Heres some info on mine, 41 BYF, P08 all matching but mag. serial number is 3960 with wood grips, and what looks like an "n" under the barrel.
